Our Amazon Prime Day pre-sale checklist
Amazon Prime Day is one of the store’s biggest sales of the year, which also means some of the best deals won’t last long. So if you’ve got your eye on a few things, here’s how to make the most of the sale.
Before July 8th
- Create an Amazon Wishlist: Browse and search through millions of items on Amazon and add all your must-haves to an Amazon Wishlist. You can do this easily once you’re logged in, by clicking on “Add to Wish List” when you’re on a product page (it’s usually a button or text after the “Add to Cart” and “Buy Now” buttons.
- Turn on your deals notifications so you know exactly when they go on sale.
- Add items to your Amazon cart: You can also start adding all your items to cart so you can instantly checkout as soon as the sale kicks off.
- Check your Prime membership is active, or start a 30-day free trial if you’re not already a member. After the trial, you’ll pay $9.99 per month, or save 34 per cent with an annual membership at $79. Members also get access to Prime Video, Prime Music and Prime Reading. You can also cancel at any time through your Amazon account – just don’t cancel before you’ve finished shopping for Prime Day deals.
During the sale (July 8-14)
- Check this article daily for new drops – fresh deals are expected throughout the week.
- Monitor Lightning Deals on the Amazon site hourly – these sell out fast.
- Compare prices. Not every “Prime Day deal” is actually the best price.
After the sale (from July 14)
- Log into your Amazon account to track deliveries.
- Check out other Amazon Prime member benefits. If you’re not sold on it, you can always cancel your membership before the trial ends to avoid paying for it.

Amazon Prime Day 2025 in Australia is officially set to run from 12:01am AEST on Tuesday, July 8 to 11:59pm AEST on Monday, July 14. This marks the longest Prime Day event ever held in Australia, spanning a full seven days of exclusive deals for Prime members .

Prime Day is an exclusive Amazon Prime members-only sale event, offering a range of mind-blowing deals to shoppers. Featuring savings on top brands alongside small businesses, the Amazon Prime Day sale is one of the biggest shopping events of the year.

Amazon Prime Day and Amazon Black Friday are arguably the two biggest Amazon sales of the year — both offering steep discounts on home, tech, fashion and more.
